The Co-Cathedral of Santa María de la Redonda will have a new exterior ornamental lighting system following the agreement signed between the Diocese of Calahorra and La Calzada-Logroño, Logroño City Council and Fundación Iberdrola España

Fundación Iberdrola España has committed to refurbish and enhance the exterior ornamental lighting of the Co-Cathedral of Santa María de la Redonda. This will be made possible through the collaboration agreement signed with the Diocese of Calahorra and La Calzada-Logroño and the municipal council.

The project involves an investment of €225,000 and includes the installation of new state-of-the-art LED luminaires. The aim is to reduce the church’s energy consumption and enhance its architectural heritage through warm lighting. The design seeks to highlight the building’s predominantly sandstone ashlar construction, as well as one of its most spectacular features: its vast western façade, designed by Juan Bautista de Arbaiza, Juan Martín de Beratúa and Francisco Gorbea.
